Birgitta Festival has been a musical theater festival taking place in the ruins of Pirita Monastery in Tallinn since 2005. The festival combines the dark charm of a medieval monastery with the last word of modern musical theater.The only international musical theater festival in the neighboring countries is the Tallinn Festival, which takes place every August. The festival features operas, ballets, staged oratorios, contemporary dance performances, music and other genres of musical theater. IRONMAN is part of the summer triathlon festival in the capital Tallinn. The main competitions take place on two consecutive days. Over the years, the IRONMAN competition has attracted almost a thousand participants from different countries around the world to compete in Estonia. The competition runs through the unforgettable Old Town of Tallinn and the wonderful Harju County. Tallinn's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The IRONMAN triathlon festival also includes an IRONKIDS competition and a series of charity races. A sporty weekend offers entertainment for sports fans of all ages!

One of Europe's biggest festival brands, the legendary We Love The 90s is coming to Estonia again. Two days of the best 90s and Millennium artists! The hottest pop star of the last year, The Weeknd, will come to Tallinn next year. The Weeknd is the most-nominated artist at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards with 17 nods, including Top Artist. The Weekend won his first Grammy for the soundtrack to Beauty Behind the Madness while receiving an Oscar nomination for his song Earned It, written for Fifty Shades of Grey. Portion of the tour's ticket sales will go to the XO Humanitarian Fund to help alleviate the global hunger crisis. In addition, donations are made by tour partners.

This year's European Championships (PDGA XA-Tier Tournament) will be held in Estonia, at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. The upcoming disc golf European Championships are a diverse and highly competitive event, expecting participants from nearly 30 countries. The tournament brings together a multitude of talents from across Europe, giving players the opportunity to showcase their skills, learn from each other, and build relationships with fellow competitors. With so many countries represented, this year's championships promise to be an exciting and memorable event for all involved.

The Tallinn Fringe Festival is an annual open-access arts festival that brings together a wide range of international and local artists in various venues across Tallinn.
The values and commitments of the festival are to provide open access to all performers, regardless of their background and experiences, to create a platform for non-mainstream arts and performances, so that they can find their audience, and to help audiences see performances that are outside their usual bubble, so that they can appreciate the diverse culture available in Estonia and beyond.

On the last week of August, the doors of Tallinn Old Town halls will open once again to let the world-class chamber music sound and share it with a delightful audience.
Tallinn Chamber Music Festival has become a tradition and belongs to the top events of Estonian classical music. The festival is concentrated into a short period and gives the audience the opportunity to enjoy a large number of performances by both Estonian and foreign top musicians, thus adorning and enriching the cultural scenery of Tallinn and all of Estonia.

The largest caravan of flavours in the Baltic countries will set up at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. The restaurants include Estonian eateries as well as street food masters from neighbouring countries. In addition to wall-to-wall food, you can enjoy a concert programme and various DJ sets at the Tallinn Food Truck Festival. A large Tivoli park and a children's area will also be built on the grounds.
At the end of the festival, the best food trucks will be awarded in two categories - Best Design and Best Food. The winners will be decided by the audience, who will be able to vote for their favourites on-site.

Once a year, on the night of ancient bonfires, we will pay homage to the historic seaside beacon fires. During this end-of-the-summer event of lighting bonfires, which has become a folk tradition in the past few decades, we will create a chain of campfires along the beach and convey positive thoughts and messages by doing so.

Tallinn Marathon is the biggest international running event it Estonia.
The Tallinn Marathon programmes involving thousands of runners and sports enthusiasts will include RIMI 10K, half-marathon (21.1 km) and classic marathon (42.2 km). For participants the prices and registration can be found here, for spectators the event is free of charge.
The Tallinn Marathon Virtual Race will take place from 1 to 30 September. The Virtual Race has no borders – you can run your distance from all over the world!

Tallinn Literature Festival HeadRead is an event to celebrate literature and provide an overview of what is currently happening in Estonian literature and in the world.
The Tallinn festival is small, but perfect. The festival, organised by writers, publishers, and translators, is a party, a conversation, and pure joy in this city that welcomes exciting writers from all over the world.

Simple Session, the most popular skateboarding and BMX competition of the year, is one of the most important events in Estonia!
This extreme sports competition attracts more and more foreign visitors and famous competitors every year. Thanks to the media, millions of viewers follow it. The exciting weekend is full of unprecedented spectacles, as several hundred BMX riders and skateboarders from all over the world compete in the massive competition area.
The atmosphere is exciting and pleasant. In the evening, however, it turns into a wild party programme.

Open House is an international initiative that lets you sneak a peek behind the doors of different buildings that are otherwise closed or partially closed to the public.During one weekend buildings in Tallinn that have a remarkable architectural quality as well as special significance to the city and its communities are opened to the public. The programme includes tours of buildings – free of charge with architects, designers, and volunteers taking the role as guides. You can register for the tours on the website.

The biggest vegan event of the year will be taking place for the twelfth time at the Noblessner Foundry.
Tallinn Vegan Fair is the oldest vegan lifestyle fair in the Baltics with the aim of introducing plant-based food and veganism.
Those participating in the fair will be introducing and selling a wide range of vegan foods and other vegan products. There will also be lectures and discussions.
